About Me:

Hi. I have a few university degress and am in the process of completing an MA in Studies in Religion at the University of Sydney. My thesis working title at the moment is “Consciousness, Imagined Landscapes and Information : Is the development of Integral Consciousness the next step in human evolution?”. I sell second hand books at the markets up here and in Sydney on the weekends, mainly non-fiction and some gemstones and have spent most of my life reading religious, spiritual, occult, alchemical, kabbalistic texts and have now reached the point where I appreciate the beliefs of the tantric buddhists and the tantric Shivaists in Kashmir as being the closest to human understanding of the mysteries of life. I have read Ken Wilber of  and on over the last twenty or so years, the latest being his Brief History of Everything while holidaying in Thailand in July which contrasted quite nicely with the Stephen J Gould book that I picked up at a second hand bookstore at Krabbi, Thailand, Full House. I have an increasing interest in the developments of quantum physics as it climbs closer to gaining an understanding of how our universe works and the correspondence of these findings with ancient Hindu cosmology.

There is a public radio station here in Australia that produces many incredibly interesting programs and they are all available to download thru RSS such as
abc.net.au/rn/podcasts/feeds/spirit.xml
this is called The Spirit of Things there are other programs such as The Science Show, The Philosphers Zone, All in the Mind, The Ark, By Design and many more. Every show is worth a listen and if you go to the site www.abc.net.au /rn  you will find them all there and you can listen to them live as well. Definitely worth checking out. I feel privileged that I live in a country that can produce such enlightened shows on a governement run public radio station.

created out of chaos, collecting information and assembling it into components of order each time, each Yuga adding on the one before only in the sense that there is more order created out of the information of the past. This endless cycle of information gathering, record keeping belongs to the realms of the mystic. All beings who have come into existence through this creation of order, creating individuals who work to create all possibilities using the past as a template for the next model in a ceaseless dance of zeros and ones, quarks and xxx, sweeping in and out, back and forth, through the various realms of existence, finding their place for an instance before leaving to be a part of other creations. Being replaced by another, an interconnection of trans-dimensional elementals. Bubbles of reality, consummates of atoms floating in something so vast that we can only call it God, its totality beyond our conception, as it has no name, only a vibration, and the emergence of a sound underlying all that exists. It is this that we can feel within ourselves and it is this that connects everything and is what the mystics try to express to us in our feeble attempts to understand God and creation. Some call this magic, others quantum physics of information, others just leave it in the hands of a God, no more capable of understanding beyond a wisdom that we pass down generation after generation, a knowing that this is so. Only knowing our place in the universe, a place we call our home. This home is our planet Earth, Gaia, the place where we have found the atoms to make our bodies, the place that came into existence billions of years ago as a member of this solar system and a member of this galaxy. We are bound in this system of stars our individual spark remaining here for many eons of creations to come, some knowing more than others but in the end everything is that One. So a few in this knowing may chose to move on to further realms, while others remain in this vast place as record keepers, Gods eyes, ears and hearts some may say, experiencing all that there is to experience. A vast quantum computation of accumulating knowledge reaching out into forever………………
this is all so impossible to comprehend that it seems more sensible to be an atheist I think many a time, but the experiences that I have been graced to perceive and understand in this life makes it impossible for me to be one, stemming way back into my early childhood and the memory of who I was at a heart level when I was born has always been there anyway which also makes it impossible to not know that there is more to life than mere existing in this body, as I remember who I was before this time anyway at this level, not at a physical body personality level that is of no importance and seems irrelevant for me anyway………….

ME–
As we move closer to realising that what we ‘know’ at this present point of time is not correct and that it is a flowing process of acquiring and discovering new ways of perceiving within our minds that go beyond what we are capable of at this moment. The realization is dawning that nothing that we take for granted can be, that what we collect in our libraries and call the foundations of knowledge are not necessarily anything more than that. That is these foundations may change as new understanding of reality is constantly being explored and discovered. We are now at a point at least where we can recognize that what we believe to be the truth now will more than likely become rescinded by new ways of seeing that we cannot even imagine at this point of time. To return to Platos analogy of the shadows on the cave wall………(this may be the most profound analogy that any human being has thought of, nothing demonstrates human limitation of understanding better than this. My analogy is that of the cat. We have a reasonable idea of what the cat perceives of the world compared to what we can perceive and that there are levels of understanding that a cat can never reach as her mind is limited to what is necessary for her to survive in nature and domesticated cats have expanded their world to include the ways of humans to the point where they can live with us instead of out in the sometimes quite difficult world  in the bush. This analogy can be used to explain just how much human beings are limited in their awareness of reality. We also can only perceive that which we need to survive on this planet. As we have developed more stable and comfortable habitations and developed ways of allowing some of us time to sit in contemplate and study and invent, we have expanded our level of awareness a bit beyond that which is needed to survive in nature. But this too is just as limited as that of the domesticated cat. For us to reach beyond that level requires quite a large jump in intelligence, an intelligence that includes that of perceiving more levels of reality that only a tiny few of us has access to. Levels of awareness that we can sometimes imagine, landscapes of reality that we cannot possible perceive but some of us are now aware of these things and this number is growing beyond the few spiritual mystics some of whom have tried their best to help us make that jump in awareness over the millenium, teaching us to see beyond the tiny world that we live our lives in.
